In the risk of sounding corny I just want to say that we all come to the Babine to do one thing and that is to catch Steelhead. But somewhere between the hundreds of cast and breath taking scenery one realizes how fortunate they are to be alive and to be standing on one of the most pristine places on this planet. Catching "that fish" was a great moment, a culmination of much effort and the object of many dreams since I started fly fishing for steelhead in 1986. I can still see the fight, each moment seemingly indelible in my mind.

When it was over and we released the fish back to the Babine I could only say a prayer of thanks for being permitted such an encounter. It was a great moment in my life that happened on a special river at a special lodge. Can't wait for next year- I've already booked my flights.
